Rugs designed by Mut Design won in the Decor category and Patricia Urquiola’s new series of outdoor spaces won the Sustainability Award. On November 16, the winners of the were unveiled. And, yet again, the ADA Night brought good news for The ADAs annually recognize designs that, through new materials, forms or functions, are capable of revolutionizing and improving the quality of life today and in the future. In this edition, the jury awarded the top prize in the category to the new rug, designed by , in its Peach version. This recognition highlights how the Spanish studio has expressed its desire to experiment with color, geometry and textures in a virgin wool rug that, using the hand-tufting technique, winks at the artist in all of us. GIRO is based on a succession of mathematical curves that generate the optical illusion of a tube rolled up on itself, creating a graphic game with a touch of Op-Art. GIRO rugs, which had already won an NYCxDesign Award, are also available in two other main colors: purple and gray.
